Thank you for the quick response. I might add that we've lived in this same house for 31 years and never had this problem until it occurred last summer/fall. I did find another opening to the house where some stucco had fallen off around an outdoor faucet. However, some ants had gotten in the house that way. I sealed this opening with caulk. Have I "trapped" the ants in the house? If so, what is the normal life span for carpenter ants and how long can I expect to see the "trapped" ants around the house (assuming of course, that I have sealed all accesses with caulk)? Thank you.
