I noticed a pile of frass in my basement sat. morning under the toilet drain. I removed it and placed a piece of paper which had a small pile 4 hours later. I panicked and called the exterminator. He wanted $900.00 to treat house inside and property outside. I apparently have a leak around toilet base. How should I proceed? Try to vacuum ants out of hole that frass is coming from and repair wood damage? Try to exterminate colony first and then repair? We have a noticed a few ants in the house 3-4 a day in various rooms. Last year we noticed quite a few winged ants swarming in the basement under the back door entrance.for a couple of days.

thank-you for your time and expertise
