Hi There

Great website. I have an old, probally 100 old tree stump about 20 feet tall in the back of our 100 year old house. The previous owners attempted to cut the tree down bit by bit;only taking off its head and leaving this 20 foot stump. There is a wood pile next to an old shed. The 20 foot stump is about 25 feet from our house. Right now the tree is filled with carpenter ants;as is the old wood pile. My question is this. My husband wants to take the tree down this weekend. He says the ants will go with the tree and will not migrate to our porch or house. I say they will march right to our house and eat the whole thing? Should we take the tree stump down and remove the wood pile without first trying to kill the ants or vice versa. Becky
