We live in Southeast Michigan in a tri-level home on a river. The lower level is partially underground and that's where our problem is: several FRASS piles along the hot-water heat baseboard and on the wooden windowsills above. No recent signs of big black ants in the house (maybe once or twice over the years) and never any flying ants anywhere else in the house..we've lived here for 9 years. Having never seen ants around the FRASS (even checking at night with a flashlight) we decided to still spray with Spectracide Ant Shield & Killer and later found countless tiny, tiny, dead black ants on the floor but still had FRASS build-up! Could we have carpenter ants, termites or WHAT?
We would truly appreciate any helpful comments before calling in an inspector. THANK YOU
