I read your Carpenter Ant Page, but did not see
any advice about sealing entrances.
We re-sided our house a few years ago, down
to the studs. Insulation was blown in, and we
sided with Hardi-Board. I don't think there's
moisture in the walls, and the studs are solid.
They seem to feed outside, around the house.
Carpenter ants enter the walls under the
lip of the siding and the foundation.
Will it help to seal ALL entrances and cracks -
and thus, seal them INTO the walls? Will
the lack of food and moisture cause them to either
escape or die off?
Great website & reasonable advice!
Don
