This year we suddenly had tons of pavement ants. I mean, they were scurrying on the counters, they are stil in our cupboards, they were trying to get into our celing, etc. (kitchen has a suspended ceiling put in in the 1980's). We've had dessert/food ants before, but never all these pavement ants.

I found Ortho's "Ant-B-Gone" to work pretty well. (Home Depot or Lowe's) I have a slew of the bait stations all around the kitchen door, the garbage, on the counter I bake on, and in the cupboard where I keep baking supplies. It's gotten better -- but still not ant-free. I've noticed, outside, that they are far more numerous in openings around the sidewalk by our back door and front door. Another Global Warming effect?

Lsat year it was box elder bugs and stinkbugs. This year it's ants. It's always something...
