I had an exterminator come out and look to see if we had any issues with our home and garage. Of course the carpenter ant nest was noted as it has been there for 5 years. I showed him where I saw an ant enter next to a door sill in our garage and these strange 1/4 tan pods that look like eggs hatched. He said they were from june bugs. Yet every morning I come out there is a pile of what appears to be these pods and sawdust. Our garage has dirt up to the siding all the way around, is a slab not connected to the house. The interior is insulated and drywalled. How do I know what this is termites carpenter ants? I can hear no rustling noise either. I have only seen minor workers in the garage but the activity seems to be in the other corner. Right now it is damp as we have had so much rain averaging 3 to 4 inches every few days. I called a pretty reputable name in our area and I am not believing what he is telling me as I am sure these pod thngs with sawdust don't keep hatching every night nor do we see junebugs. Any help thanks.
