How do you keep torrential downpours which we have been having here in MA from diluting the Gourmet ant liquid in the ant cafes? I am not sure how much actually gets in there but the heavy rains coming from all directions I am sure is just not helping. We have had a little break this week but are supposed to get hit again starting today. BTW since I put them out they attracted the pavement and I think pharoah ants but I haven't even seen any larger ants out there anymore at all. No species at all in the house.

I saw your post re: it does not eliminate the whole colony of carpenter ants so I presume they will be back at some point. Have not seen any "frass" anywhere but still concerned I may be seeing them in the winter and that is why I wanted the exterminator to treat outside but they feel I probably don't have a problem since I haven't seen any for quite some time and to just keep any eye out. They actually said they would love to take my money but they thought I may have taken care of the problem already. Never dealt with carpenters before. They said they usually use the Termidor in March. If I had only known I was going to get a "swarm" I would have had them come and would have avoided the whole carpenter ant problem.

Re: the ant cafes - I can't figure out a way to cover them when I have them sideways on the house foundation. BTW the stickies work very well, even with the rain.
