Yes I am pretty sure they are not termites, because that was my BIGGEST Fear. Like I said I have scooped up many, and examined them carefully under a magnifying glass. Three body parts, elbow antenna, etc... I could write a book, after the amount of research that I have done. I also live in a heavy wood area(san juan forest), and there is no way to get rid of all the possible colonies out there without torching it.

DE earth seems to be working at keeping them out of the house, and the terro bait actually has worked for me. Boric acid another idea( I hate the chemicals). I have also located the one spot they get into the house, a corner that needs to ce cauked.( at least I am hoping that is the only spot). I know all of this could simply be a bandaid to the issue, but I'm willing to keep at it and give it a couple more weeks, before giving serious consideration to a exterminator.
