All kinds of ants will use the tight spaces for homes, not just CAs. And they don't really need "moisture" - a dead air space will suffice.

Additionally, I think the sighting of one ant is not something you should get upset over - at least not yet.... I think you need to wait and watch - see if this is just an anomaly.

Dusting under that beam is what you need to do if they return.
