We live in east Texas closer to the Houston area. We are not from Texas so this ant problem is new to us. The ant hill was discovered about a month ago. My husband sprayed a product called Triazicide (made by Spectracide) twice around the yard and in the weep holes of the house. On the bottle, it says that the main ingredient is Gamma Cyhalothrin but doesn't list the other ingredients. The last time he sprayed outside was about two weeks ago. The inside ants happened soon after I broke up that big ant hill on the side of the house about a month ago. That same side of the house (inside) is where we are finding most of the ants too. We are also finding them dead and alive upstairs on the same side too. I found more live ants today than I have before. They are usually dead when I see them. I also have ant baits around called Hot Shot Liquid Ant Bait. I put several around. It says that they kill the queen and colony. However, I don't know if the ants are dying because of that or what my husband sprayed.
