I would suggest NOTHING. There are ALWAYS carpenter ants in trees. They go together like love and marriage. And just because you pull a tree (or trees) down, doesn't mean they'll "head for your house." It's an old exterminator's trick to get you to sign on the dotted line....

Should you HAVE a problem, THEN you do something. You could do all the treatment you could and STILL wind up with an ant problem.

So save your money and your angst. Let me know if you need an exterminator, I probably know one near to where you are.
