Drione dust puffed back in there would be much better than any kind of ant bait. Then drill acouple of small holes in the part of the window where the ants were so that you can inject dust in there again at some future date. If the holes are in a visible area, cover the holes with a bit of toothpaste - it's white and you can poke it out easily.
