Thank you for this website. Last summer I built a brand new house right where an old house once stood. The house is slab on grade, with closed cell spray foam insulation (soy based) in all exterior walls.

This is our 1st spring in the house, and we are seeing quite a few small ants (they look like the minor workers of carpenter ants).

I am curious what your knowledge is about carpenter ants and spray foam insulation.

What would you recommend in this case--we prefer to try to deal with this problem ourselves.
