Only problem with any foam insulation, is once they get under it, they'll tnnel all through it. Spray on closed cell would be better than others, but it wouldn't be impossible for ants to excavate that.

The small ants might not be CAs, and if a product such as the Gourmet ant stations can't deal with it, you would be much better dealing with a pro who could apply the Termidor/Phantom regimen.
