Oh, ok, you can fill those holes. If the holes are in concrete, fill it with concrete. Wet the hole down and fill it with patching cement. You shouldn't fill holes that are meant to be there, like lee holes, to vent moisture.

Those ants outside might be different ants than the ones inside in your kitchen.

Flying ants are reproductives, they escape and look for a mate, so they don't normally enter something like that.

You don't have to worry about erasing "trails" - they'll just make new ones.
