When, in your opinion, is it time to call an exterminator? We've been seeing C.A. now for a month and already had one treatment (not sure what the exterminator used)...we've never had these ants in our house before this past month, and I've lived in this house for 10 years. I've talked to many of my friends and they are seeing them in their house too. This confirms what you stated in your past posts to me, that it could be a seasonal problem/weather related. However since we've never had them before, it's hard to not want to go out and hire an exterminator.
I guess I just want to know where do you draw the line? It's been a month. We consistently see 3-5 a day. That adds up to approxiamtely 100 of these C.A. over the past month. I've tried to "track" them when I see them, in order to discover their nests, but it gets me nowhere. The majority of them that we see are in 2 time frames (9:00am-12:00pm) & (around 6:00pm-8:00pm) We have rarely have seen them during the 12:00-6:00 time frame or after 8:00pm
I finally started "documenting" them the past 5 days and here's what I've got.
7/4 - 1 downstairs bathroom (dead), 1 upstairs bathroom
7/5 - 2 in kids bedroom (on the wall near the window frame)
7/6 - 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 downstairs bathroom (dead), 1 laundry room (dead)
7/7 - 1 kids bedroom, 1 laundry room (dead)
7/8 - 1 downstairs bathroom, 3 upstairs bathroom
Could that many C.A. in a month (100), really all be foraging ants?
