No need for panic, they're only bugs. And if you're not there to vac them up, they'll wait....

Just give things time to settle. When you're not there, leave everything open - all closets, cabinets, even dresser drawers. It lets the whole house acclimate to one temperature and the same humidity, lessens the chance that there will be places the ants prefer. If you can, leave a few windows cracked open too.
