I thought maybe they were coming in from the front door since its right next to it but then I got on my hands and knees and noticed them all over my main floor on the carpet. I ended up killing over 100 ants. I noticed most were coming from the trim around the carpet on the floor and in the creases of the first 3 stairs going upstairs. I found more than 20 again this morning. So is it time to call my rental management for exterminator? Maybe just get some ant traps? The house is only 4 years old so its fairly new, maybe the heat? Its was over 100 degrees for almost a week and its the hotest recorded in 118 years. Please help I'm freaking! Its impossible to keep my 2 year old off the carpet but I don't want her on it.
