I had an exterminator at my home last week that did a nice job with Termidor. He sprayed around the foundation of my home as well as a line of belgium block leading to my garage. The tiny little ants (not carpenters) that had taken over my backyard table are now gone.
But yesterday, I started to open the hatch door to my basement and before I could raise it two inches, I found another big colony of the little buggers. I closed the door and left it alone.
Indeed, I'm still getting a few (2, 6, 10 at a time) on my kitchen counter. My guess is that some are finding their way in from the hatch.
My question is, I plan to have this exterminator back tomorrow. The basement hatch door is outside. Would this be another application of termidor ON or NEAR the ants? Should this include a spraying of "Phantom" inside? My concern is that if termidor is sprayed, they will immediately scatter with an increase, although temporary, presence inside my home.
What would be your opinion on this matter? Thanks.
