I started finding numerous large ants in my house. I called an exterminator and he came and sprayed around my house. He thought that he found the area where the nest was located by the amount of activity in one area. Later in the day, after he sprayed, it rained. He had told me that after about 3 weeks I shouldn't find anymore ants. well, after threee days, I didn't find anymore, but then after threee weeks, I started finding large black winged carpenter ants in the room above where the nest was located, but they are always dead. I called and he sprayed again. I am still finding them, dead, one week later. What does this mean? Why are the ants winged all of a sudden, when the initial ones were not? I am worried that these are females who are looking to start a new nest somewhere and will do so in my house. But also, why are they always dead, is that from the spray? Thank you for any help or information you can give me. I hate these ants!
