Ok, I hate to admit this, and it's not something a pest control company owner wants to hear, but I really can't afford to hire a professional right now. At least not until I try doing something myself.
With that in mind, and since I know the exact location of the trail and entry/exit point of my house, do you think I could try any of the following:
1. Use something like MaxForce or Advance bait gels across the entire gap that the ants are entering and along their trail to see if they are attracted to it?
2. Shoot some Delta Dust into the void behind the wood trim through which the ants travel hoping that the ants carry it to their nest?
3. Use Dominion 2L at the location since it is a non-repellant insecticide and the ants will carry it back to the nest?
Which of these, if any, is my best bet?
Another question, if Fipronil (Termidor) is so safe, why can't I just buy some and spray it around my house myself.
