Hi John,
It's been about a month, and I am seeing NO carpenter ants in my house anymore... which is lovely :)

I have, however, still seen the occasional ant outside - in my backyard. I just saw one while I was out playing with my daughter and he went up into my house (the exterior wall where the exterminator thought the nest must have been). This has me a bit concerned that we didn't get them all... since it's been over a month now. There has been A LOT of rain since he sprayed my home, so I'm sure it's all been washed away at this point, except the phantom on the inside, but I don't know how long that stays effective.

I guess I'm wondering if I should have him come out again. I was thinking maybe I should wait until it gets warm next summer and do it again while they're really active? From his observation he said the nest is probably in the exterior wall seperating my home from my garage, but he sprayed some kind of spray irritant or something into the entry and was surprised when it didin't do anything. He said that the nest was probably further into the wall - since he found the egg/larvae things both on my front stoop and in my backyard on either end of that wall.

I just want to kill the nest so i can just do a repellant treatment once I am confident they're all gone. Advice?
Thanks again,
Crystal
