Waste of time and money to do spiders with chemicals. You have to spray EVERYTHING: walls, floors, ceilings, everything. Only time I ever do this is in a vacant house that has been sitting vacant awhile. Then it's a good treatment.
Otherwise, for the typical house spider, you take a broom or a dust mop and go around the ENTIRE house, inside, every room, every day, for two weeks, wipe down every right angle (wall & ceiling) - if you do that, you'll do almost as much as my whole house treatment will get and it's non-toxic and won't cost a thing but your time.
Spiders are everywhere - you just can't get away from them. The chemical treatment is so broad that I just hate to do them in an occupied house. "The cure is worse than the disease" as far as I'm concerned. But then again, I'm not afraid of spiders, and you shouldn't be either!
