I am definitely getting Termidor this spring.
Last season I put out my Ant Pro system on the patio as it is a brick patio with sand inbetween the bricks and the whole patio was full of ant hills (also along the foundation). They were going crazy for the stuff (boric acid Gourmet liquid) and I eliminated a lot BUT not enough. Right before it reached the freezing point I put the Ant Pro away (with a few ants still clinging to it) and was so proud of myself. Well, here it is end of January and we had a warm spell - 48 degrees - in MA and guess what is in my basement? I figured now that it is again in the 20's during the day and zero at night that they would again be dormant but I am still seeing some and do not want to put out my Ant Pro in the house and draw them in more than they are now and I would like to wait for spring for just one visit from the exterminator (money issues). Do you think they are just stragglers or are they living in the house. I figured I would have seen them before this if they had a nest in the house. Any suggestions other than getting them when I see them? There were 2 on my dryer even and don't know if they are coming from above. I even saw ant hills in the grassy areas so there must be millions out there.
When we had those warmer days I even saw a millipede down there -- I hope all this is not a sign of what's to come in the spring. We had a millipede problem for the first time in the front of the house last spring (north side) and some got in. Disgusting!! They were all over the doors and shingles in the mornings but seemed to disappear in the summer. It gave me the creeps to go out the door. Will Termidor help with millipedes also?
Thanks for any advice as I have chemical allergies and severe eczema on my hands and try to stay away from getting anything on my hands. Even those vinyl gloves don't seem to help that much.
