Well, if you're on the 4th floor, I figure the ants were already inside.... And not knowing what kind of ant they are, I can't really say too much more. But I think I would relax, for now, see what happens over the next week or so, or after that weather change. Ants do react to outdoor weather, and rain can drive them indoors - but not always.
As far as baiting is concerned, baits are tricky - what worked before, doesn't work this time. Ants are picky, sometimes.
My suggestion would be to wait it out for awhile, (the ants are harmless) resist the temptation to use Raid, or some other aerosol insecticide, often they just scatter the ants to other places you haven't seen them before. Save a few samples of the ants, in case you have to call an exterminator, you'll have a sample to show him - very important.
Where you are, they have problems with Argentine ants, so that MAY be the ones you're seeing. Lots of other kinds are out there too, so this is merely a guess.
