I live in metro Boston. During January and Feb I have noticed a single ant on several occasions trotting across the room floor. This room has a fireplace on an external wall. During warm weather ants are always traveling in to the fireplace brick area (outside) and I spray it with some stuff from Lowe's. It lasts about a week, then I spray again. Now I am wondering if these ants actually live (year round) in my house , around the chimney (that is damp because of the outside wall placement) because of these winter sightings....and what can be done about them.
