Hi John,
I just moved in a house in San Jose, CA 5 months before. Previously, I just found some "big black" ants (2-3 a time) very occasionally on the second floor. Just yesterday, after I came home, I found a lot!!! (more than 100) and some of them are winged. From your website, looks like they are carpenter ants. I did find that they come from the crack of a window in one room of the second floor. But there is no water problem in that room and it is a little far away from bathroom. Actually, there is less activity of ants in the bath room. I did some treatment like put bait around crack and I also seal the crack of the window (I thought that ants may come from outside). Today, after I came home, I still found around 5-10 WINGED ones (yes, winged ones only)in that room. Can you provide some comments?
Thanks a lot!!!
