I think it might be a better idea to dismantle the trim around that window and see if you can find the problem that way, before you do anything chemical - 'natural' or otherwise. Keep your shop-vac handy for any critters you discover.

Make sure the window is not leaking and isn't constantly getting wet. Sometimes it's as easy as correcting a mis-aimed sprinkler head.
