If you only see them in the spring, it's a spring thing, and if it is, there's not a whole lot you can do about it, they're out foraging. As far a spending $450 on some kind of program, I think that's silly. Especially for the spring thing.

Best treatment is the Termidor/Phantom treatment. It's a one shot deal that usually lasts the entire season, at least. Normally not expensive, I charge about $200.

But, as I said, if all you're seeing is the foragers, I wouldn't worry about it. And I certainly wouldn't 'freak out.' That's when the bad guys get you, when you're panicked.
