I have awoken to the same problem the last two mornings. I have swarms of flying ants in multiple locations on the main floor of my house, mainly around windows. I just spent an hour vacuuming up HUNDREDS of flying ants (I believe they are carpenter ants). We have had a particularly bad ant problem this year that actually started in the January (I'm in Minneapolis which equals cold). It's like Amityville Horror in here and I'm starting to freak out! We did have a moisture problem that I had repaired by a contractor this spring but I just can't seem to get rid of them and it is truly getting worse since January when we first say them.
