Our exterminator came out (the one who treated the termites) and he said not to worry about it.

The ants probably flew in through a vent out an uncapped sink. He said they are the kind that live in the soil and won't normally infest a house unless they don't have access to other food and they require wet wood to invade.

I found a termite in the bathtub and one in a lampshade the day after I found the ants. Everything is swarming right now in Oregon with the warm weather and early rains. We offered strongly, but he wouldn't charge us for the visit.

So, I bet we have a good exterminator? After reading your webpages, it sounds like we do. We'll just keep an eye on things and call them back out if we have more problems.

Thanks again for your excellent page. You should do a podcast! You'd have a ton of subscribers and always lots of people calling/writing in.
