From what I have read, I noticed the signs of a possible carpenter ant problem. Found a hole with saw dust around it, hole was plugged with some sticky stuff. When I dig out out, looks like a 1/8 inch hole deep.

Q. The hole is in an area that is on the side of the house about 9 feet off the ground, with no visible mositure.

Is it unusual for carpenter ants to attack an area like that?

Could it be something else?

Thanks
