I doubt the leaks and/or moisture had/have anything to do with the ants. Fixing the leaks should be done in any case. CAs, if that's indeed what you have, are notoriously difficult to bait for. What worked last time, is ignored this time.
From the sound of it, you might have had one of those springtime invasions. That can happen and not mean much. I would give it a few days and see what develops. No matter what you think, or what other exterminators may tell you, there is no reason to panic.
If it keeps up, or gets worse, I would start with an inside/outside treatment with Termidor/Phantom. Don't fall for the drill-out-every-wall scenario that some exterminators promote. Look for a local (skip the biggies) exterminator that is familiar with that procedure.
As far as the flies are concerned, have them ID'd as to what kind they are. Once you know that, you can do something about it.
