Unless your house has other flaws like that, visible or invisible, just pay attention, now that you know what's up, so the next time you run into it, you won't panic and make some (usually desperate) decision. Americans are like that, especially with insects, you just have to gulp down the fear factor and realize that's it's usually NBD.

Just wait and watch, hold off on any insecticides and understand you'll see some, for a few days at least. For the most part, you'll find they disappear.

Except, maybe, in our great northwest, where carpenter ants can be a real enemy, and can take a good bit of skill.
