We have had a CA issue for the past several weeks in our house. We are in a slab on grade house. I have seen anywhere from 15-20 ants in a day, some days less, but never too many more. I have checked my sills and nothing appears to be rotted. I put out baits inside the house, and I applied a spray along the foundation of the house.
The ants are coming in, and a lot appear to be dying eventually, as we find them curled up on the ground dead.
The ones that are alive are generally not moving around much, just sitting in random spots throughout one side of our house (the side closest to the woods of course) They are mainly just in this one room though, our living room. But sometimes we see a few in other rooms in the house.
It has been a muggy and wet spring/summer, and the tiles in our house can be moist at times, though we have a de-humidifier running always. I'm thinking that they are entering for that reason, but am unsure. I found a nest outside about 30ft from the corner of the house where we see the majority of them, and I removed and destroyed the nest. Still ants in the house.
I'm just wondering if I should be overly worried, or just tack it up to the wet/humid year and not freak out too much, as I do tend to overthink.
