Hi, our pear tree in the backyard has been drilled out by carpenter ants. We treated it with ant killer in hopes of destroying the colony. However, I have noticed a few live and dead carpenter ants around the house. I am now worried that the colony has migrated to the house... The tree is around 20 feet away from the house. Could this be 'forager' ants? What can I do to find out if there is a nest in the house? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
