Hello,
I contacted you last year regarding an ant problem in my kitchen. I only saw them in my kitchen (north side), and they lasted for only a few weeks. I pulled the dishwasher out and dusted it with Drione. Didn't see much in the insulation.
They're back again this year. We just had 3 days of rain, and I killed about 30 today. When it's not raining, we see only 3-5.
My question is: since I see these ants only for a few weeks in the spring, more so when it rains (and never after June), am I safe in assuming that I do not have a nest in the house? If I had a nest, would I see the ants more cinsistently, throughout two seasons? When I get these "flare-ups", how should I treat them? Terri liquid baits? Borax and corn syrup?
