I have a very old elm tree next to house I'm sure the tree is very stressed due to drought in southern colorado. Have carpenter ants in tree starting to find a few in house think they are coming in under door. You said not to treat ant if in tree but this is a bad infestation and they have moved into some railroad ties that are a retaining wall by the house. I think the tree is very stressed and not looking good. What do I treat with?
