50 feet from the house? I wouldn't worry about it. Ants live in EVERY tree, some more than others.

As far as the foragerd are concerned, wait to see if the stop. The weather has been very different this year and much of the ant activity you see is actually weather related.

Wait to see what happens before you do anything rash. Watch that wall to see what happens and remember you never have to do anything NOW.
