CAs, indeed, any ants just LOVE to make a home in that foam stuff. And the join between roof ends might be part of the problem, maybe a break in the flashing or your shed roof not having enough pitch. Multiple reasons.

An application of Termidor, either foam or liquid might help, it's hard to determine without actually examining the whole thing in situ. And just because the AI in the bait is Fipronil, it doesn't necessarily mean that a bait is the best carrier.

I think you need to take a look at the roof joins and see if there might be a problem before you go crazy with any chemical treatment. Do you have any pictures?
