As far as "infested" houses are concerned, yes, that's the (more or less) general treatment for that. But I must say that I haven't done that in a couple of years, I think. Generally, I'm able to talk people out of that, the bugs are harmless and usually go away pretty quickly on their own, as soon as the weather conditions change.
I've always thought that, in this case, the 'cure is worse than the disease.' Besides, you could spend (maybe) a couple of hundred dollars for a treatment like that. I think that's a stiff price for a harmless creature. Not so much if you had, say, roaches or something like that.
So give it awhile, use a vacuum on the windowsills and don't be so anal! Most people don't even notice them, only people that are (usually) rabid housekeepers. hahaha.
