Personally, I don't think there's ANYTHING that's 'just as good' as Termidor. If there was, I'd know about it - and I don't. And you can always threaten to call your state's DEP and report him... Not that I recommend it, but oftentimes just the threat will straighten him out. And, of course, your promise to the applicator and the company, that you intend to tell everyone you know about the experience you had.
And, BTW, what was the chemical they said they DID use? If they used the wrong kind, they may have affected the efficacy of the one they used on the inside. Find out what they used.
Ok, enough of that. As far as your application of Termidor is concerned, make sure you mix according to the directions, only mix as much as you use. The diluent DOES have a shelf life, I never use (and count on) anything older than a few days.
Apply according to directions too. And remember, this stuff takes time to work. It won't work in a couple of days, it might even take a week or more. And rain won't really bother it, not unless you've had flooding rain, over a period of days. It usually isn't a factor. In fact, a light rain, after the fact, can help in dispersion.
Since you have already applied Termidor, don't allow them to come back and apply MORE Termidor, or any other chemicals, over your application. You'll have to await the results of your treatment for now.
