The drill-out-the-wall project will probably be stumped by the insulation in the exterior wall. The ants have found a place where they are safe and may not appreciate the bait you use. They are a bit finicky about what they eat, sometimes.

A better idea would be to try an outside treatment with Termidor. You'll need to find an exterminator familiar with the procedure, some guys don't like to do it, they would rather come on a monthly basis, it makes them more money.

A termidor treatment, on the other hand, is sometimes the only treatment you'll need for the season.

Skip the biggies, get a local guy that has NO SALESMEN!
