Everybody's different, but our jobs like that go for around $125 to, like, $250 if you live in some kind of castle...
Doing it yourself might be ok, except when we do it it's either with a back pack or sometimes even an application off one of our trucks. Check with your local guys. If they want to SEE your property, have them drop by and take a look and give you a call. Don't deal with "salesmen," otherwise you'll have him to pay too. And don't PAY for an estimate.
We will quote over the phone if the customer provides an adequate description - with the understanding if there's some kind of anomaly in that description, the cost might be more. Which we tell the customer BEFORE the procedure is performed.
Doing it yourself might involve bigger equipment than most people have. It would be difficult to use one of those pump up compressed air sprayers. Plus, the chemical DOES have a shelf life, and I believe the smallest amount you can buy will be around $80 or so - haven't checked the price for the small amounts in awhile.
Unless you have some experience, it might be better to use a pro. Unfortunately, the closest guy I know (and trust) is down in Staunton, a little far to do you any good.
