Hey John so my house when my family bought it had a prior infestation of carpenter ants in the loft crawl space before we purchased they had an exterminator come in a spray the area we didn't notice anymore after that the loft is a bedroom my room to be exact and within the past few years of living in this house the ants have increased it seems this year the worst of all one day I moved my bed around and saw nothing within a couple of days they were just there back again at night of course for about an hour I was constantly killing carpenter ants about 20 to be exact the next day I bought a can of raid, poion bait, and glue pads when I got home from work the first couple of ants I saw I sprayed with the raid and then this big ant came out of nowhere as if looking to escape I killed it and the rest of the night I was spraying ants I have the glue pads on the floor below my window and honestly right now there is about 70 stuck ants mostly smaller last night an ant went behind my desk so I sprayed raid behind my desk since then I'm constantly finding ants but bigger ants now too and I see a bunch of dead ants (year round) under my desk I see what looks like sawdust under the window under my baseboard heater it's incredibly stressful because I can't sleep to many times do I find them in my bed or on me it freaks me out I don't know what to do I was once told not spray poison because the ants can tell and will in turn move their nest elsewhere is that what's happening? if so what should I be doing differently? I have a lot of junk on the floor is that making it worse? please help
