lol. Yeah, you're just about right... "Wait, stay alert, and see if anything else develops." No reason for any control efforts, either by you or an exterminator. Although I bet you could find a BUNCH of exterminators who would LOVE to come over hahaha.

Sounds like you had a real mess! Reminds me of a customer that moved his refrigerator just an inch or two, then went on vaca for 3 weeks. When he got back, he found out he had cracked the line for his ice making device, it leaked for the full 3 weeks. His basement had two feet of water in it! Worst part of it was his area also had a flood during that time, his house was ok, but the insurance company gave him a lot of static because they don't cover floods and thought the problem was a flood. Took him MONTHS to get it straightened out.

My final comment? Don't worry about it!
