Just an update. I think my situation is improving. I have not seen any swarmers since last wednesday and the daily number of foragers that I'm killing is also dropping. I've gone from a peak of killing around 30+ ants/day down to 8-12. About half of the 8-12 seem to be affected by the insecticides.
I'm hoping these are positive signs that indoor treatments are starting to take effect and not a sign that swarmer season is over and its just a matter of time before new nests are going to appear. Either way, I will consult again with the exterminator until the problem is resolved.
Outside I don't seen any ant activity near my house and they used to be a constant (I live near woods). It looks like the termidor did the job outside and the battle is restricted to inside.
Still no idea where the nest is as most of the activity is in an area without any visible moisture (but near a bathroom and insulated walls in the basement)
I'm trying to keep the faith and remain patient.
Thanks for all your help.
