Hi John - We had a company out for my ant problem in the kitchen. You may recall that it was a pretty minor problem, but the ants kept coming back so we decided it was time to get someone out to treat for them. I liked the technician, and he used a backpack with Termidor around the perimeter of the entire house. On the inside in the kitchen around the frame of the window where we were seeing them he used Phantom and also at the top edge of my backsplash of the countertop. A couple of days after that I saw a fair amount of ants showing up which I believe was to be expected. Prior to the treatment we hadn't seen any for about a week. I was told it would take 7-10 days to get rid of them. Thought we were out of the woods after 7 days because we didn't see any at all. Then on the 10th day, they were having another little party of at least 20 or so of them. Since that 10th day, there's been a few here and there. We are actually now seeing them in places we didn't before, like a few on the kitchen floor. The company guarantees returning for one year to re-treat. Before I call them I wanted your opinion of what might be going on. As I said before, ours seemed to be a very minor problem in the beginning. He also used a mixture of Drione outside along with the Termidor. He also tried to treat where he could outside around the siding of the house. Trying to decide whether to just wait a little while longer since it's only a few ants or if it's time to have him back out. So far this morning I have seen one. Greatly appreciate your opinion! Thanks!
