So I had my exterminator come back out since I was on a plan and get repeat treatment. It was a different guy that I hadn't met before. He informed me the management had been fired and replaced. Apparently they weren't training people correctly, or something. I explained my issues to him from the beginning and he re-inspected everything. He actually "hunted" down the ants, and went completely in my attic (not just pole his head up there) and inspected everything! Even told me other issues he encountered up there. The source of the ants was my neighbors backyard. They have a telephone pole in the backyard and an ant hill. The ants are trailing up that onto the wire that connects to my house. Oh joy.... He baited and treated what he could. I've never had such an intense inspection done. My other issue, springtails. I know you've written to me before that they aren't harmful and will go away, but it's been months and they haven't left. They also seem to be coming from my attic. Apparently my insulation is blocking a lot of the vents in my soffit and isn't allowing a lot of air flow. So my question to you is, will they live up there since there's a lot of humidity? Im
Hoping when the weather gets cold and the humidity is gone they will disappear. My exterminator said there is really nothing they can do.
